Green Pea and Spinach Soup
Ingredients:
Fresh or Frozen green peas – 3 cups
finely sliced leek – 1
garlic clove minced – 2
bacon strips lean rindless -2
chicken stock -5.5 cups
olive oil – 2 tbl spoons
fresh spinach – 2 oz.
white cabbage – 0.3 cups shredded
small letuce – 0.5
celery stick -1, chopped
handful of parsley coarsely chopped
fresh mint – 4 teaspoons
ground mace – pinch
salt, pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Take large pan add the green peas, garlic, bacon and leek. Pour chicken stock and put all contents of soup onto high heat. Bring to a boil then lower the heat and let simmer for 25 mins.
2. Then pour contents into a blender and process until it becomes nice smooth mass
3. take another frying pan and put cabbage, lettuce, celery and herbs in it. make sure you cover the pan and leave on low heat to saute for until all ingredients become softer.
4. now add contents of the both pans into one. heat it up and add the remaining spices
serves about 6 people

CHEF’S RECIPE SPLIT PEA SOUP
1 lb. split of green peas
1 lb. chopped, carrots
1 ham bone, smoked
pepper & Salt to suit your taste
1 chopped, onion
boiling water- 2 qts.
Herbs, as you wish.
Wash ham bone, put with some onion and carrot to the boiling water. Washttp://splitpeasouprecipesonline.com/wp-admin/post-new.phph split peas, remove from the water and put. All to boil on a medium heat for 2 ½ hours. You may add some water while cooking, if needed. Bring out ham bone. Pull, if required. Serve hot.
