SPLIT PEA SOUP (LOW-CAL)
Water- 1 1/2 quarts.
1 can broth of chicken
lean ham- 16 oz.
green peas- 1 lb. split bag
1 c. diced, celery
1 c. diced, carrots
1 c. diced, onion
salt- 1/2 tsp.
pepper- 1/2 tsp.
parsley- 1 tsp.
basil- 1 tsp.
to prepare split pea soup rinse and arrange the peas, put aside. Mince the ham into bite size pieces. Boil chicken broth and water. Put ham, peas, celery, carrots, onions, salt, pepper, parsley and basil. Cook until peas are soft. Maybe foe 1 ½ hours.
